Great System. Well designed.
This kit is very easy to use. The instructions are well written. I followed them exactly and had no problems cleaning my built-in fireplace from the bottom up. One tip I would add is to use a clump of wet paper towels in the hand you use to guide the rods with. As you pull the rods out, the wet towel cleans them and keeps your hand from turning black.
This is a great product and my chimney is spotless now. This will be a huge cost savings over having it professionaly cleaned every year for $150! T. Ayers - Texas

Works as advertised
I first heard abotu this prodcut from watching an episode of Cool Tools and needed to clean my Chimney which has never been cleaned as far as I know (it's used very in frequently). I liked the concept of SootEater which sort of acts as a weedwacker and knocks down everything that has collected on the walls of your chimney. Setting up took about 2- minutes, most of which is attaching the plastic covers to ensure that the descending soot doesn't get everywhere. After that you just attach it to your drill, it goes up and beats everything down.
